L'Unité de recherche GEPEA, associée au CNRS,  rassemble les équipes de recherche de la métropole Nantes - St Nazaire - La Roche sur Yon (Université de Nantes, Ecole des Mines, ONIRIS).
Cette unité, forte de plus de 150 personnes, est l'une des plus importantes en France dans son domaine. La spécificité du GEPEA est d'associer recherche amont et recherche appliquée afin de développer le Génie des procédés dans les domaines de l'Environnement, de l'Agroalimentaire et de la valorisation des produits de la mer.

The GEPEA laboratory, joined research unit of the CNRS, encompasses the Chemical Engineering research teams located in Nantes, Saint Nazaire and La Roche sur Yon (University of Nantes, EMN, ENITIAA).
The laboratory, with more than 150 people, constitutes one of the most important French research cluster in chemical Engineering. Its originality is to link fundamental and applied research to develop chemical engineering in environment, food industry and marine products.
